# Why do car dealers need video?

[Google's research](https://www.vehiclestest.com/video-selling-for-car-dealers)shows that more than half of all car shoppers watch 30 minutes or more of video in doing their research. And the best and most trusted type of video content? It's not a commercial or a sales pitch.

Having independent reviews of new models on your website increases a key metric in conversions: Time on site. The longer a customer stays on your site the more likely they are to convert.

So you need good video on your site. You can create it or hire out a company to supply New Model videos for you. Either way, having video on your site provides customers much of the information they need to buy a new car from you.
